TRAVEL INFORMATION

Air

New Orleans is served by the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, which is located 13 miles from the Hilton New Orleans Riverside hotel.

Ground Transportation

For those wishing to travel to New Orleans by car, it is easily accessible off of I-10.  (See Driving Directions below.)  Also, both Amtrak and Greyhound stations are located in the Central Business District.

Airport Shuttle

The official company for transportation to and from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International is Airport Shuttle.  The fare is $13.00 one-way between airport and downtown hotels, or you may purchase a round-trip ticket for $26.00.  The shuttles run on 10-15 minute intervals.  The ticket counter at the airport is open from 7:00 am until the last flight arrives at approximately 1:00 am.

Taxicab

Taxicab fare from airport to downtown is currently $28.00 for up to 2 people.  Each additional passenger is $12.00, not to exceed 5.

Public Bus

Fare: $1.50 (from Tulane & Loyola) and $1.00 (from Tulane & Carrollton)
Departs from the airport and goes to the downtown side of Tulane Avenue between Elks Place and South Saratoga Street approximately every ten minutes during peak hours (6:00am-9:00am, 3:00pm-6:00pm), every 23 minutes otherwise.  Buses run 6:00am-6:30pm.  For more information call Louisiana Transit at (504) 818-1077.

Visitour Passes

Entitle bearer to unlimited ridership on all streetcar and bus lines.  Available at hotels and shopping areas.  Cost:  $5.00 for one day, $12.00 for three days.  Call the Regional Transit Authority at (504) 248-3900 for purchase locations.

Valet Parking: $31.00 per night

Driving Directions

From West: Follow Interstate-10 to Downtown/East/Slidell, exiting at Poydras St.  Off-ramp becomes Poydras St., following Poydras south to the end at the hotel's front circle drive entrance.

From East: Follow Interstate-10 Downtown/West, exiting at Canal St./Superdome.  Follow signage to Superdome/Poydras St., turning left onto Poydras St.  Follow Poydras St. south to the end at the hotel's front circle drive entrance.
