SESSION DESCRIPTION: There are many factors that can impact the success of a project, and understanding the critical elements is a must. You will gain an understanding of the importance of team composition, setting expectations, Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements and vendor selection, internal communication, organization of project review and approval, and leadership commitment.

SESSION INTENT: Navigate the myriad of publically available online tools for use during development of an energy efficiency or water conservation project during this hands-on training session.

SESSION DESCRIPTION: This session will introduce you to the vast array of publically available online tools that can be used by an energy manager or project developer to develop energy and water savings projects. An in-depth review of the tools will help you find publically available online links for energy costs, historical weather data; rebates; federal, state, and local tax regulations; renewable energy technologies; and measurement and verification (M&V). Also included will be valuable links for specific energy and water conservation measures.

This session will provide the energy project planner with strategies to select viable projects and gather data to justify these projects. This session will conclude with the introduction of procurement strategies available to move your energy and water conservation projects forward.

We will review proper use of evaluation tools, lesser-known funding sources such as incentives and rebates, and how to make funding instruments work for your projects.
